College football fans ignite No. 18 Oklahoma State after being rocked by unranked TCU

On Saturday, the unranked TCU completely destroyed 18th-ranked Oklahoma, opening the first half with a 41-point advantage in a 55-24 victory.

That's ugly for the Sooners, and even more embarrassing for their defense, especially considering new head coach Brent Venables is Clemson's defensive coordinator. He's sure to bring a tougher defense to Oklahoma City, right?

Well, it's been a rough season so far for the Sooners, who have lost two games after losing to Kansas State in Week 4. But the Horned Frogs win was especially ugly for Oklahoma, feeling like the "Stop! He's dead!" meme.

TCU's offense was on fire with 668 total yards, including 307 in the air, thanks in large part to quarterback Max Duggan, who threw for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns, rushing added 116 yards and added two rushing points.

There doesn't seem to be anything in Oklahoma to slow him and the Horned Frogs, which is great news if you're a TCU fan.

Notably, TCU's offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is the brother of former Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley, making it all the more interesting that his offense ruined the Sooners' defense.

The Horned Frogs led 41-17 at halftime, a stunning stat that looked like it should have come at the end, not after the first 30 minutes. The second half wasn't much better either, as TCU literally ran all over the Clippers' defense for a combined 361 rushing yards compared to Oklahoma's 179.

It was a bad outing for Oklahoma, and its fans certainly weren't happy. Other college football fans, however, found TCU's fast swingers funny online, and they had plenty of jokes.

Dillon Gabriel injury

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Dillon Gabriel left Saturday's game against TCU with an apparent head injury on a late hit.

Gabriel slipped in the scramble early in the second quarter and was hit directly in the head by TCU linebacker Jamoi Hodge.

The force of the impact knocked Gabriel's head off the lawn. After the impact, he lay motionless for a moment, but still walked out of the field by his own strength.

Officials knocked Hodge out after scoring.

Moments after the collision, Hodge looked distraught on the touchline before heading to the dressing room with a towel over his head.

After hitting Gabriel, the Sooners ran for a 20-yard touchdown as running back Jovontae Barnes rushed to the long ball.

But it's still a surprising 34-17 deficit for the 18th OU.

Oklahoma will turn to Davis Bayville, not Gabriel. During his career, Beville was 22nd in 34 starts. He has passed for 251 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
